After paying their respects to an empty coffin, the hunters embark on another mystery. A man who had been hit by a car and should have left the hospital wearing a cast, unexpectedly dies. His autopsy reveals many surprises including finding a pair of green pinecones where his heart should have been and a Japanese eggplant where one would expect a liver.

The Department of Deliverance sends Nina Kozlov, Mickey Adams, Scully Charles and newcomer, Sheri to investigate these vegetables at the Twice Baked Bar & Grill.
